I am a voting member at large for Pine Island District. I also serve a position as Assistant Scout Master in our troop and on the committee of our crew. I am on the District Camping Committee and I am a Unit Commissioner. I am the proud mother of an Eagle scout and my daughter is in Girl Scouts and our crew. For a living I am a school teacher. I was a visitor last year at the World Jamboree and I was treasure for my sons troop when he went to National Jamboree. Last year the school board awarded me a grant and I had lunch and a photo opt with our superintendant while my grant and money was awarded. I was published twice in the newspaper for the valuable teaching I am providing. One year the Sun Sentinal wrote a story and another year the Miami wrote a story. I was selected to be in the Order of the Arrow and I am Brotherhood. In 2005 I completed Woodbadge training and I am a Bear (The Bears) I live by the Boy Scout law and oath and give back to the program because I believe in it deeply. It is in my heart. Last year I spent one day visiting the Jamboree and with the exception of becoming a mother, it was the best experience of my life. Watching scouts from 185 countries getting along for a better future, "One World One Promise" It gave me chills. I've been to Philmont and plan to attend again. I have taken all the training the Boy Scouts offers and have even taught a few classes. I have sat on Eagle boards on the troop and district level which is always a thrill. My moto "Kids First!" |

My name is Erin Kinsey, and I will be 17 by the time our Jamboree comes around. I was in Girl Scouts for 11 years and joined Venturing two years ago. In my Girl Scout Troop, I have held the positions of President, Vice President and Treasurer. I am in two different Venturing Crews at the current moment, both of which I have a leadership position. In my faith-based crew I am one of three in the leadership team. In my other crew I am the President. I am also the District Venturing Roundtable President at the moment. I have held this position for a little over a year since no one else will step up. I have held leadership positions in both my JROTC course and in my school Choir. I can be serious when I need to be, but the rest of the time, I’m going to be goofing off and being crazy. I am looking forward to going to this Jamboree with all of you and I am convinced we will have a fantastic time. |
